EXCLUSIVE: Jeff Kalligheri and Stephen Bowen’s Waterstone Entertainment are teaming up with Qatar-based Innovation Films to develop and produce film and television projects in Qatar and will kick off with The Greatest Salesman In The World.

 

The deal is believed to be the first between Hollywood and a Qatari production company and will see Waterstone will open an office in Doha, Qatar. John Darko, behind the upcoming adaptation of Zombies Ate My Neighbors, has developed and scripted “Nowheresville,” a new horror/thriller television series, with newcomer Anthony Cincotta.

 

And it seems like the show is off to a great start seeing that the person responsible for visualizing and framing the scares in recent hits The Conjuring and Insidious Chapter 2 is also behind the project. John R. Leonetti, who is more known for his extensive camera work, will be stepping onto the project as series’ director. Waterstone Television has multiple scripted and unscripted concepts in different phases of development and is overseen by Jeff Kalligheri and Steven Garcia. Steven Garcia is a successful unscripted executive and producer with credits including SHARK TANK (ABC), THE PITCH(AMC), BE THE BOSS(A&E), THE FRINGE(NATGEO), HITCHED OR DITCHED(CW) and many other unscripted series as a Showrunner, Producer/Director, Supervising Producer and/or Senior Field Producer.

Waterstone also formed a ground breaking partnership with N.A.S.A, JPL and SciArt Exchange to help raise their profile and awareness for current and future projects in Hollywood. Waterstone was one of the title sponsors for the humans in space art challenge in which the winning film was shot up to space and premiered on the International Space station. MISSION

Production Development Finance

We not only develop in house but have the ability to fully produce and finance both TV and Film projects of any size that we see fit.

 

Distribution

We aim to acquire 3-5 feature films per year to distribute Theatrically, TV, VOD, DVD and DIGITALLY via existing output deals already in place.

Consulting

We also consult with local and foreign governments as well as private companies in all area’s of the Entertainment Industry to increase Entertainment based revenues or activate entertainment based initiatives.

Management

Every good film or television project starts with a great script. We work with select talented writers from development through financing, production and sale of their project. With the ability to finance and produce projects in house for our clients, we have a unique edge that is hard to compete with in the industry.
